The Wright Brothers

Orville looked at his brother flying high above and their first flight was a success. Their father gave them a toy helicopter when they were young.

Early life

Wilbur who was born April 16 1867 in Millville Indiana was older and Orville was born August 19 1884 in Daytona Ohio was younger. They are two out of seven children they moved twelve times before they permanently stayed at Dayton Ohio in 1884. The first job that they had was printing newspapers then when they were done with printing they fixed bicycles then when they got better at fixing them they decided to make them but they never lost the love of flying. A couple years later Wilbur got seriously injured at a hockey accident. Orville never got his diploma until April sixteenth 1894 it was his 127 birthday but he had sadly died before he could get it. Wilber is older than Orvill.

Wright brothers and the airplane

Happily they worked at a lot of jobs but they never lost their love for flying. In 1900 they made gliders at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. On May 25 they made a truthful plane that was safe to drive. On June 25 1910 they took their dad on a trip in the plane they built. They had to close in 1911 because sadly too many employees died in crashes. They worked a lot of places but they were not flying.

Long life

Wilber was worn out from all of the work he had done. He sadly died from typhoid fever when he was 45. After Wilbur died Orvill who kept going on with the wright company sold it in 1915. Orvill died at the age 76 on January 30th 1948 from his second heart attack. Both of them are buried on family property. We should try to make a difference like the Wright brothers and maybe the world would be a better place. Wilber did a lot of work so he was worn out.
